Remote pedestal operation
The following functions are used to remotely operate a robotic pedestal. There are
additional functions on the control panel that are used only when operating an RP2A
pedestal – See RP2A control functions on page 20.
Pedestal orientation
The sides of the pedestal are referred to as North, South, East and West.
Joystick enable
The Joystick Enable button [5] must be on and illuminated before you can move the
pedestal around the studio floor (in X and Y axes) using the XY/Height joystick.
When the Joystick Enable button is off, the XY/Height joystick only allows robotic
height movement. This prevents accidental pedestal travel while rotating the joystick
to adjust camera height.
