4. Set the RS-232 Synapse cable to defaults by scanning the following:

5. The cable defaults will work with the SLC 5/03, 5/04. Your
application may have specific requirements. Chapter 3 lists the
settings that can be modified. If you change a communication setting,
make sure the SLC controller is configured to accept the change.
