8. Set the RS-232 Synapse cable to defaults by scanning the following:

9. The cable defaults will work with the Flexible Interface Module.
Your application may have specific requirements. Chapter 3 lists the
settings that can be modified. If you change a communication setting,
make sure the Flexible Interface Module is configured to accept the
change.
