Direct Connections For I/O Modules
In this example, assume that each distributed I/O module is configured for a
direct connection to the controller.
The following table calculates the connections in this example.
If you have many modules, direct connections to each module may not be
feasible because you could use up the number of connections and packets per
second supported by the module.
Refer to Rack-optimized Connections For I/O Modules on page 86 to
conserve connection use and network traffic.
