16.2 Using the Calibrate Function
NOTE: For detailed information regarding the calibration functions, see section
16.3, Glossary of Terms in the Calibrate Window, on page 16-17 .
WARNING
Wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
as advised in the MSDS of the standard(s) being used.
1 Various standard concentrations must be prepared for the desired analytes.
2 After the standard(s) have been prepared, each concentration will be run
separately on the CMS5000 using the desired method. Each standard will have
its own separate run. The method used for the CMS5000 runs can be a default
method or a custom method created with the Method Editor.
NOTE: All method development must be made prior to running the standards
on the CMS5000. Refer to Chapter 15, Method Editor , for additional
information on method development.
3 Enter the concentration of the standard and a description on the Data File
Information page during each sample run. See
Figure 16-1 . To access this
window, refer to section 12.4, Data Review Toolbar, on page 12-4 .
