To edit the Inlet State grid, select an inlet state from the drop down menu. See
Figure 15-11 . A description of the inlet state choices is provided below.

AirLinePurge. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the sample through the air sample
pathway and goes out the exhaust vent; the
water purge is off in this state. The sample
does not go through the concentrator.
LinePurge . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the water headspace sample through
the sample pathway and out through the
exhaust vent; the water purge is enabled
through this state. The sample does not go
through the concentrator.
NOTE: The sample cannot be the check
standard.
CkStdLinePurge . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the check standard out the exhaust
bypassing the column.
NOTE: The sample cannot be the check
standard
AirConcFill . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs air sample onto the concentrator; the
water purge is off in this state.
ConcFill . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs water headspace sample onto the
concentrator.
CkStdConcFill. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Directs the check standard onto the
concentrator.
PreDesorb . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PreDesorb begins the process of heat
desorption of the analytes adsorbed on the
concentrator prior to introduction onto the GC
column.
Desorb. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Completes the heat desorption of analytes
off the concentrator and onto the GC column.
