Regular quality checks
Have the device inspected by Eppendorf Service on a regular basis.
The tests described in the following sections do not replace a complete inspection conducted by the
manufacturer or authorized contract partner. However, the user can complete the inspections on a regular
basis to check the device performance.
The results are heavily affected by pipetting errors and incorrect settings to the device parameters.
Therefore, the instructions must be followed precisely. The user should define the intervals for these tests
based on how often the device is used.
We recommend orienting these tests and the acceptance criteria to the main application in the laboratory.
Ideally, the tests should be performed using with the internal fluorophore and plates, buffers and volumes
in the laboratory and all corrresponding settings (filters, flashes, delays, etc.).
DANGER! Electric shock as a result of penetration of liquid.
Switch off the device and disconnect the power plug before starting cleaning or
disinfection work.
Do not allow any liquids to penetrate the inside of the housing.
Do not spray clean/spray disinfect the housing.
Only plug the device back in if it is completely dry, both inside and outside.
For example, use alcohol (ethanol, isopropanol) or alcohol-based disinfectants.
This section contains instructions on how to check the device specifications. If the results of
these tests are not within the specifications defined for the device, please contact Eppendorf
Service.
