4.3

Selecting the location

Find a suitable location for the device according to the following criteria:

• Power supply in accordance with the name plate.

• Minimum distance to other devices and walls: 10 cm.

• Sufficient space for moving the plate compartment in and out.

• A bench with a horizontal and even work surface that is designed to support the weight of the device 

(16 kg).

• The surrounding area must be well ventilated.

• The location must be protected from direct sunlight.

4.4

Connecting the device to the mains

1. Verify that the mains/power supply voltage and mains/power frequency match the information on the

name plate.

2. Connect the device to the power supply and switch it on using the mains power switch.

4.5

Connecting the device to a computer

1. Make sure that the device and computer are switched off.

2. Connect the device and the computer using the supplied USB cable.

The maximum load for the PlateReader cover is 16 kg, but this load must be evenly distributed
across the entire surface.

The mains/power switch and cutting unit of the mains/power line must be easily accessible
during operation (e.g, residual current circuit breaker).

The computer is not included in the delivery package.

The software manual contains a description of the installation and operation of the software.
