6 Operation
6.1 Overview of operating controls
6.1.1 Notes on operation
Make sure that the computer is switched on and the software is installed.
The software is used for the operation and measurement.
6.1.2 Switching on the device
Check to see if the device is connected to the computer via the USB cable.
No initialization steps are executed when the device is switched on.
6.1.3 Starting the device
The software activates the device.
Communication will be established between the device and the computer.
The plate transporter will be initialized.
The device is now ready for operation.
6.1.4 Disconnecting the device from the computer and switching it off
The measurement is completed.
Remove the microplate before disconnecting the device from the computer.
The device may only be switched off after you have disconnected the device from the computer.
Communication between the device and the computer will be terminated.
The device is no longer active.
6.1.5 Loading the device with plates
Make sure that the selected plate definition file corresponds to the plate used.
Make sure that the surface of the plate is not contaminated by fluorescent substances. Also, please keep in
mind that some plate sealers may leave a sticky residue that must be fully removed before starting a
measurement.
The plate transporter will not be automatically extended.
