When a filter is replaced, this information will be lost if the last flash counter reading has not been
documented manually by the user. Set the counter to 0 for a completely new filter. For a filter that has
already been used, enter the last recorded counter reading (if available).
Optical filters may change over time depending on the frequency of use and ambient
conditions. As such, they have a limited service life.
