Setting the Scene
This camera can automatically adjusts the shutter speed and aperture to
suit the scene you are shooting or the purpose of the shot.
Your scene setting is retained even when you turn the camera off or the
Auto power off function is activated.
1. Set the camera to recording mode and move the OK button to
.
A list of scene icons appears.
2. Use the jog dial to select the desired scene icon and press the OK button.
If you select [STAGE], proceed to “Locking the Zoom at Wide-Angle”.
If you select other scenes, the camera reverts to recording mode.

time scenery.
SNOW & BEACH
For very bright situations such as at
snowfields or at the beach.
STAGE
For shots within a specific range such
as stage activities.
SUNSET
For evening or sunset shots.

The scene setting in Auto mode is [AUTO].
You cannot specify scene settings when shooting video.
The explanations for the different scenes are only intended as a
general guide. Select the scene setting that works best for you.
