When shooting pictures

Press the tabs on the lens cap as
indicated by the arrows and
remove the lens cap.

Turn the mode dial until the
mode you want to use is aligned

Turn the power switch so that ON
is aligned with the white line.
• The camera turns on and the lens
extends.
• If the lens cap has not been removed,
the warning beep sounds and the
camera does not turn on. Be sure to
remove the lens cap first.

To turn the power off, turn the
power switch so that OFF is
aligned with the white line.
