9.2.16 SXRP... (RPLM: Recovery Physical Library Manager)
SXRP003 RPLM(#3): ALERT: on not reachable
Meaning
It was not possible to send a message to the PDS on the host .
Response
Check whether the PDS and/or host are running and whether the TCP/IP connection is
okay. If the corresponding IDP is running but the connection is not working, check the cables
and the hubs. Notify maintenance staff if necessary.
SXRP004 RPLM(#4): NOTICE: on reachable again
Meaning
The PDS can be reached again.
SXRP005 RPLM(#5): CRITICAL: Physical Library Server not reachable
Meaning
It was not possible to send a message to the PLS.
Response
Check whether the PLS is functioning.
SXRP006 RPLM(#6): NOTICE: Physical Library Server reachable again
Meaning
It was again possible to send a message to the PLS.
SXRP013 RPLM(#13): ERROR: reports media error on PV
Meaning
A media error has been reported on the physical volume .
Response
The physical volume has been marked by the PLM as read-only. Any logical volumes still
located on this physical volume should be moved by means of a reorganization. Once this
has been done, replace the physical volume.
SXRP014 RPLM(#14): ERROR: reports hardware error
Meaning
The PDS has reported a hardware error.
Response
Notify maintenance staff.
