• Auto capitalization: Automatically capitalizes the first letter of
the first word in each sentence (standard English style).
• Auto spacing: Automatically inserts spaces between words.
• Auto punctuate: Automatically inserts a full stop in a sentence
by touching the space bar twice when using the onscreen
QWERTY keyboard.
Keyboard swipe
• None: Turn Keyboard swipe off.
• SwiftKey Flow: Enable the SwiftKey Flow feature. When
enabled, you can enter text by sliding your finger across the
keyboard.
• Cursor control: Move the cursor by sliding your finger across
the keyboard.
Key-tap feedback
• Sound: Enables or disables auditory feedback when you touch
an onscreen key.
• Vibration: Enables or disables vibration when you touch an
onscreen key.
• Character preview: Provides an automatic preview of the
current character selection within the text string. This is helpful
when multiple characters are available within one key.
More settings
• Tutorial: Displays more information about using the Samsung
keyboard.
• Reset settings: Resets the keyboard settings back to their
original configuration.
Swype
To configure Swype settings:
Ⅲ From the Language and input screen, touch
next
to Swype to display the following options:
• Settings: Configures basic Swype settings. When an option is
enabled, a check mark
appears in the check box.
• Themes: Sets keyboard options.
• My Words: Sets options for managing your dictionary and data.
• Languages: Manages the language used for Swype. The
default language is English. Touch Download languages, to
download additional languages.
• Gestures: Displays helpful information on using gestures while
using Swype.
• Help: Touch How to Swype to view an onscreen manual for
Swype. Touch Show helpful tips for more Swype information.
• Updates: Checks for available Swype updates.
