Section 8: Messaging Applications
This section discusses the types of messages you can send and
receive, how to set up your phone to work with E-mail and how
to send E-mail messages using different types of connections.
Types of Messages
Your Omnia II is capable of sending

Text (SMS)
•
Multimedia (MMS)
•

Mobile IM
Threaded Messages
When you exchange text messages with a friend or colleague,
the messages are threaded together into a single conversation,
so you can view the entire conversation as you type.
Creating and Sending Messages
1.
Press the Main Menu key

Select Messaging from the pulldown menu at top left.

Tap the right soft key Menu
➔
New.
Note: Use the New Message widget
to quickly start a new message
from a home screen.

Tap Tap to add recipients and select a source:
• PhoneBook: Add a recipient from your Phonebook.
• Call Log: Add a recipient from recent calls in the Call Log.
• Group: Send a message to a group or a group member.
• Enter Manually: Add a recipient manually. Enter a semicolon
between multiple contacts. As you enter the phone number or
email address, matching contacts will appear on screen.
• To Online Album: Send a message to an online blog.
Tap To to switch to the CC or BCC list for recipients.
Tap the left soft key Done to continue.
