6.1 About TeleNav GPS Navigator™
Your Mobile Computer comes with a built-in GPS receiver and the TeleNav
GPS Navigator™ software. This GPS software is built into SnapVUE, and can
be quickly accessed by tapping the Navigation icon on the SnapVUE Home
screen.
Since TeleNav GPS Navigator connects to TeleNav servers to get routing
information, maps, and points of interest, you need to have a USIM/SIM
card installed and a data plan from your wireless service provider. TeleNav
GPS Navigator requires access to the Internet through your wireless service
provider’s data network to provide you with driving directions and a host of
other services, including the following:
•
GPS navigation with turn-by-turn directions via voice and visual
guidance.
•
Traffic alerts and rerouting capabilities.
•
A directory that allows you to find and navigate to businesses or
points of interest such as restaurants, hotels/motels, banks, gas
stations, and more.
•
Favorite list of places that you have visited.
•
Maps of the area around your current location, a marked favorite,
airport, street address, and more.
