NOTE:
You can check whether the attribute setting is updated or not on the Display Filter dialog box. To open
the Display Filter dialog box, click the Display Filter button.
Adding Hitachi ShadowImage™ for z/OS Pairs
WARNING!
The Siz add pair operation overwrites all data on the T-VOLs. The user is responsible for backing up
the data on the T-VOLs before adding Siz pairs.
The Add Pair Dialog box (see
on page 75) displays the S-VOL and T-VOL information for the
pair(s) being added and allows you to select the T-VOL(s) for each S-VOL, set the copy pace for all pairs
being added, and start the Add Pair operation(s). To open the Add Pair Dialog box, select one or
more pair or volumes in the Volume List on the Siz main window, right-click the mouse to display the
pop-up menu, and then click the Add Pair command.
NOTE:
Siz supports the CESTPAIR/PPRCOPY ESTPAIR commands for adding (starting) Siz pairs. See
on page 99 for further information on using PPRC commands.

The Add Pair Dialog B consists of the following components.

Add Pair Volume List
The Volume List located on the upper side of the Add Pair Dialog box displays the following
information pertaining to the P-VOL and S-VOL used for adding a pair:
• Source Vol: The CU: LDEV of the S-VOL.
