Special Features in Manual Configuration
This section describes the special features only available in RAID Assistant’s
Manual Configuration.
Expand Array
The Expand Array option re-stripes the data in the array across additional, un-
configured drives to expand the capacity of the array. This option is only available
in Manual Configuration mode. See Figure 4-48
1. Click RAID Assistant.. in the Administration menu, to access the Expand
Array function. See Figure 4-47.

The Welcome to RAID Assistant dialog box appears.
2. Select Manual Configuration to access the Manual dialog box.
See Figure 4-48.
3. If the Expand Array button is not gray and can be selected, as shown in
Figure 4-49, skip to step 5.
