6. Select the operating system by selecting the Software tab.
Select an ESXi image on the vCenter Auto Deploy server. See “Configuring an environment
for ESXi cluster provisioning” (page 41) for information about the custom deployment service.
7. Configure the Physical Storage component by right-clicking the component and selecting the
Config tab. The Storage Type is “FC-SAN”.
Check Select a storage template or Specify desired attributes. See “Physical storage
provisioning” (page 136) for a description of these two options.
Leave the RAID Level set to Any.
Leave Disk is bootable unchecked.
NOTE: vSphere Auto Deploy ESXi stateless deployments do not require a boot disk. Do not
check Disk is bootable if the template will use the vSphere Auto Deploy server.
