tab in Job > Settings to control what you will be prompted for before you store
the point. See the different possible scenarios in the table below.
Quick Codes Function
The Quick Codes function is available in both Optical and GNSS Surveying. It
is particularly useful when you have to collect a series of points for which you
anticipate that a different description or feature will have to be defined for
each new point you collect.
• To access the function, go to the main menu and tap
Survey > Quick Codes.
The Quick Codes function allows you to quickly choose a description or
feature from a table of 12 user-preset descriptions or features.
• To toggle between Description and Feature, tap on the Description/Feature
button and select the desired option. The table underneath is updated
accordingly to show respectively the 12 preset descriptions or features.
• To define or change the description or feature attached to a cell, tap and
hold the cell until Survey Pro shows a new screen allowing you to define or
change the Description or Feature. An empty cell means the cell has no
Description or Feature attached to it.

3 Description OFF OFF
No Prompt:
• The Description stored for the point is the one assigned to
the Description field before collecting the point.
• No Feature stored for the point.
4 Feature ON ON
You are prompted for Description and Feature:
• The default value prompted for the Feature field is the one
you defined before collecting the point.
• When prompted, the Description field is shown empty.
5 Feature OFF ON
You are prompted for Feature only:
• The default value prompted for the Feature field is the one
you defined before collecting the point.
• No Description stored for the point.
6 Feature OFF OFF
No Prompt:
• The Feature stored for the point is the one assigned to the
Field field before collecting the point.
• No Description stored for the point.
