LEDs
Status LEDs
Eight status LEDs are reserved on the OIT for monitoring eight Status LED coils (OIT coil
registers). Each status LED is assigned to a particular Status LED coil. The OIT reads each
Status LED coil once per second. If the coil is set, the corresponding status LED is on. If the
coil is clear, the corresponding status LED is off. If not required, the status LEDs can be dis-
abled. On some of the models, a clear slot is provided next to the status LEDs for customiz-
able inserts.
System LEDs
Four LEDs are provided on the OIT to be used by the OIT operator for feedback on certain
events:
MESSAGE LED
The Message LED only operates when message stacking is used. It signals to the OIT opera-
tor that a message is currently residing in the OIT’s message stack. To display the message,
the OIT operator must press the Next Message key. The LED continues to flash as long as
there are messages in the message stack (refer to the “Message Stacking” section).
ALARM LED
The Alarm LED flashes when an alarm occurs. The LED continues to flash until the OIT op-
erator acknowledges the alarm by pressing the Alarm Ack key (refer to the “Alarm Screens”
section).
RUN LED
The Run LED indicates that the OIT is functioning. It acts as a power and diagnostic indica-
tor which flashes briefly once every five seconds.
PRINT LED
The Print LED is lit whenever the OIT is printing to a printer. The LED blinks if the printer
cannot print for any reason (such as being off line, out of paper, etc.). If the printer does cause
the LED to blink, the LED stops blinking once another print command is sent to the printer
by the OIT (refer to the “Printer Support” section).
