Adjustable Decimal Point Location: Each register monitor placed onto a screen may have a

decimal point placed anywhere within the register monitor’s field. The position of the decimal

point is decided by the system programmer when configuring the message and ranges from 0 (no

decimal point) to the maximum field width. The decimal is placed at the specified number of char-

acters counting from the right (example: 0=12345, 1=1234.5, 2=123.45, 3=12.345, 4=1.2345,

5=.12345).

Note: When the adjustable decimal point is used, the field width of the register monitor is

increased by one to include space for the decimal point.

Commas: When enabled, this feature will display Decimal, Signed, 4-Digit BCD, 8-Digit BCD,

or Long formatted register monitors on the display formatted for human readability by adding

commas every three characters. Instead of displaying 60000, the OIT will display 60,000.

Leading Zeros: A leading zero can be added to Decimal, 4-Digit BCD and 8-Digit BCD reg-

ister monitor types. Using the OITware 200 configuration software, you can enable this fea-

ture. For example, the number ‘24’ in 4-Digit BCD format can be represented as ‘0024’

when using leading zeros.

Left/Right Justification: Each register monitor on the screen can have either left or right

justification. Justification is the term used to describe placing all of the characters against the

right or left margin regardless of the actual number of characters displayed. Using the
