Message Chain
Often, an event will occur which requires a message to be sent to the OIT operator that may
be longer than the space provided on one screen of the OIT. In fact, several screens of instruc-
tions may be necessary to complete a process. To compensate for the limited size of each OIT
screen, message screens can be chained together. Chained message screens are message
screens that have been linked so that they can be viewed on the OIT’s display in succession.
When one of the chained message screens is currently displayed, other message screens that
are chained to it can be displayed by using the Page Up and Page Down keys.
Note: The Page Up key is not available on the OIT3160 and OIT4160 models.
As an example, the following three message screens are chained together:
