Procedure
1. Set up the Balance Arm with the
pivot at one end, a protractor at the
midpoint, and a second protractor
at the other end. Mount the Bal-
ance Arm in a lower corner of the
Statics Board.
2. Mount the Spring Scale and a Pul-
ley on the board and use thread to
attach the Spring Scale to the pro-
tractor at the midpoint of the
beam.
3. Use thread to attach a hanging
mass to the protractor at the end of
the beam.
4. Make and record the necessary
measurements.
