Elastic Bumper Kit
ME-8998
Introduction
The Elastic Bumper Kit includes parts that can be used as a pair
of elastic bumpers or for mounting four photogates on a PASCO
dynamics track.
To Mount Bracket on Track
The brackets attach to the T-slots on the sides of a dynamics
track.
1. Loosen (but do not
remove) the square
nut on the thumb-
screw.
2. Slide the nut into the
T-slot at the end of
the track.
3. Slide the bracket
along the track to
the desired location.
4. Tighten the thumb-
screw to secure the
bracket.
For Use as Bumpers
Using the four included
brackets and some of
the included elastic
cord, you can set up
two bumpers on a
track. This type of
bumper is ideal for use
with a motion sensor
because the sensor can
“see through” the thin
elastic cord, and the
bumper protects the sensor from being hit by a cart.
1. Mount two brackets on either side of the track as illustrated.
2. Cut off a 15 cm length of elastic cord.
3. Stretch the cord through the lower slots in the brackets.
Secure the cord by pulling it into the notches.
