Transmitting recorded measurement data to a PC
In the IQ S
ENSOR
N
ET
, you can log measured values of IQ sensors or
differential sensors (see system operating manual, Measured value
logging). The recorded measured values can be transferred to a PC via
the USB interface or with the aid of the component MIQ/IF232 (see
section 4.4.5).
The following methods are available for this:
Data transfer via the USB interface
(MIQ/TC 2020 XT --> USB memory device --> PC)
This method is recommended if the MIQ/TC 2020 XT is configured
as terminal/controller.
Note: If it is configured as a terminal, the data is first sent from the
controller to the terminal. This can take several hours with great
amounts of data.
Data transmission consists of two steps:
– Transmission of the recorded sensor data to a USB memory
device.
and
– Transmission of the intermediately stored measurement data
from the USB memory device to the PC.
Data transfer via the MIQ/IF232 component (IQ S
ENSOR
N
ET
-->
MIQ/IF232 --> PC)
or via the USB interface on the MIQ/TC 2020 XT
(MIQ/TC 2020 XT --> USB-RS232 adapter + null modem cable
--> PC)
The data transfer via the MIQ/IF232 component or via the USB
interface is the method to use when a PC can be the operated in the
vicinity of the IQ S
ENSOR
N
ET
. The data transfer can be carried out
in two ways:
– Transmitting recorded measuring data to the PC with the aid of
the software terminal
– Transmission of the recorded measured data onto the PC with
the aid of the MIQ/IF232 component and the Data transfer
transmission software
