Management Prerequisites
Before you can successfully operate and manage
the Switch 2000 TR you must assign a Unit ID
number to the device. This section describes the
necessary steps for assigning a Unit ID#.
The only method for assigning a Unit number is via
the LCD Console located on the front panel of the
Switch 2000 TR.
Locate the LCD Console and proceed as follows:
1 Power on the Switch 2000 TR.
Switch 2000 TR>Unit ID 6 appears in the LCD Console.
This is the factory default.
2 Press [Enter] to enter the working menu of the LCD
Console.
Switch 2000 TR>Unit appears.
3 Press [Enter].
UNIT>Unit # appears.
4 Press [Enter].
Unit #>6 appears.
5 Press the [Down Arrow] once. The number 1 appears.
6 Press [Enter]. The Unit ID number has now been set.
7 Press [Left Arrow] twice to return to the main LCD
Console menu.
