RJ-45 Ports
12 RJ-45 ports support unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP)
or Shielded Twisted Pair cabling (STP) at 4 Mbps or 16
Mbps wire speed.
All 12 ports default to adapter mode for connection
to a Token Ring hub. Additionally, ports 1 through 4
can be configured to hub mode to allow direct
attachment of workstations or servers.
Front Panel LEDs
The LEDs on the front panel of the Switch 2000 TR
reflect the current status of the switch. Use Table 1-2
to interpret the LED states.
LCD Display Buttons
Use the LCD display on the front panel of the Switch
2000 TR to select ports, change system parameters,
receive status information, and set the Unit ID num-
ber.

Right and Left buttons—Change or move
digits or go to the previous menu.
■
Up and Down buttons—Scroll up or down in
specific menu and increase or decrease digit
value.
■
Enter button—Enter a menu or use to enter
the edit mode.
