Panel key is ocked.

Note:

When the panel key is locked, it can only be used to view menu
items but not to make changes. You can use the PANEL LOCK menu
to lock the key, but you cannot unlock the key from this menu. Press
the

left and right buttons simultaneously, or use

AT*L1

to unlock

the key. However, you can use this menu to view panel lock status.

+ INTERNAL

AT&X0

The modem provides the transmission clock.
(Default)

EXTERNAL

AT&X1

The DTE provides the transmission clock.

SLAVE

AT&X2

The modem's receiver clock is used as the
transmission clock.

+ ORIGINATE

AT*M0

When operating on a leased line, the modem
will handshake in

originate mode. (Default)

ANSWER

AT*M1

When operating on a leased line, the modem
will handshake in

answer mode.

Note:

If you need two modems to automatically connect on a leased line
when the power is turned ON, one modem must be set to originate
mode, and the other set to answer mode. These settings should be
saved in the power-on default profile.

+ DIAL-UP

AT&L0

The modem is connected to a dial-up telephone
line. (Default)

2W LEASED

AT&L1

The modem is connected to a 2-wire leased
line; plug the phone jack into the LEASED LINE
receptacle at the rear of the modem.

4W LEASED

AT&L2

The modem is connected to a 4-wire leased
line. Plug into the LEASED LINE receptacle.

Note:

For information about wiring a leased line, please refer to
appendix B. Models without a leased-line jack can only be connect-
ed to a 2-wire leased line through their dial-up jack.
