You can assign a specific point on a disc to return
later.

During playback, press [DISPLAY].

Select the

icon using [

L \ P],

then press [OK] within 1 second, or
wait for 1 second to display the
marker list.

e.g.) Marker setup menu for DVD-Video

Select the desired marker number
using [

U \ D]. When the disc

reaches the desired point, press
[OK].

The title (track) number and the time are
displayed.

To return to the marker, select the
desired marker number using
[

U \ D], then press [OK].

Hint

• To clear a marker, select the marker number you

want to clear, then press [CLEAR].

• You can mark up to 6 points.

Note

• All markers are erased when you perform the

following operations.
- Opening the disc tray (CD/DVD only)
- Turning off the power (CD/DVD only)
- Making additional recording on the disc (DVD only)
- Editing any title (DVD only)
- Dividing the title (HDD only)
- Deleting a scene of the title (HDD only)

• Marker setting is not available when you play back

the Video CD with PBC function.

To play back a title being recorded while
continuing to record:

You can play back from the beginning of a title that is
currently being recorded to.

During recording, press [B (PLAY)].

Playback of the title you are recording will start
from the beginning.
• Elapsed playback time will be displayed on the

front panel display.

To stop the playback, press
[
C (STOP)] once.

The front panel display will switch back to show
the elapsed recording time.
If you press [C (STOP)] twice, it will stop the
recording.

Note

• You can also use the special playback functions

such as [D (FFW)], [E (REV)] etc. during
chasing playback mode.

[I (RECORD)] is invalid during FlexTime function.
• You can no longer fast forward the playback when it

comes to a few seconds before the current
recording point.

To play back previously recorded title:

You can continue recording a programme while
playing back another title in the same component
(HDD).

During recording, press [TITLE].

Select a desired title using
[

U \ D \ L \ P], then press

[B (PLAY)].

To stop the playback, press
[
C (STOP)] once.

The front panel display will switch back to show
the elapsed recording time.
If you press [C (STOP)] twice, it will stop the
recording.

To playback a title being recorded while
continuing to record, refer to “To play back a title
being recorded while continuing to record:”
(available only with HDD).

Note

• Video CD, Audio CD, MP3/JPEG files recorded on a

disc and DivX

®

files can also be played back during

HDD recording.
