One-touch Timer Recording

(OTR)

This is a simple way to set the recording time in
blocks of 30 minutes. Ensure the disc you are
recording to has enough space to contain the OTR
Record duration.

Follow steps

in “Basic

Recording” on page 28.

Press [I (RECORD)] repeatedly until
the desired recording time (30
minutes to 6 hours) appears on the
TV screen.

One-touch Timer Recording will start.

• When the unit reaches the specified time, it will

be turned off automatically.

• To change the recording length during One-

touch Timer Recording, press [I (RECORD)]
repeatedly until the desired length appears.

• To cancel One-touch Timer Recording within

the specified time, press [C (STOP)].

Hint

• The remaining recording time will appear on the TV

screen during One-touch Timer Recording. Press
[DISPLAY] to see it on the TV screen.

• The remaining recording time will be displayed on

the front panel display during One-touch Timer
Recording.

• Unlike the timer recording, you can perform the

following operations during One-touch Timer
Recording.
- Put unit to standby. (One-touch timer recording will

be cancelled.)

- Use [I (RECORD)] on the remote control.

Note

• You cannot use the pause function during One-

touch Timer Recording.

• The unit will be turned off automatically under the

following conditions.
- No space remains on the disc.
- If a power failure occurs.

• You cannot change the channel when this unit is in

any recording mode (normal recording, One-touch
Timer Recording or timer recording).

• Pressing [

Q (STANDBY-ON)] during recording will

terminate the recording.

Time Shift Buffer

Every time you turn on this unit, this unit automatically
records the channel currently viewed and temporarily
stores the recorded content to the HDD (Time Shift
Buffer). By using this function, you can pause or view
earlier parts of the current TV programme. You may
also start to record from the beginning of the TV
programme. Time shift buffer can store programmes
up to a duration of 6 hours. If maximum duration is
exceeded, earliest programme will be removed.

When watching TV programme
through this unit’s tuner, use
[

S (PREV)], [E (REW)], or

[REPLAY] to locate your desired
point to start recording.

• If you press [DISPLAY], the Time Shift Buffer

information will appear.

• It is possible to skip to your desired time by the

time search on the display of the Time Shift
Buffer in addition to [

S (PREV)], [E (REW)] or

[REPLAY].

Press [I (RECORD)] to start
recording.

From the selected point, the contents of the Time
Shift Buffer become a recording title in the HDD
while the unit continues to record the current
content of the channel.

Press [C (STOP)] twice to stop
recording.

The recording stops.
If you press [C (STOP)] once, the image on the TV
screen goes back to current content of the channel
while Time Shift Buffer continues.
