Language settings
To set the language that the menus display on the phone:
1. From the Home screen, touch Quick List

Language and Keypad
➔
Language.
2. Select a language and region from the list.
Samsung Keyboard settings
From this menu you can set onscreen keyboard options.
1. From the Home screen, touch Quick List
➔
Settings
➔
Language and Keypad
➔
Samsung keypad.
2. From the Keypad type field select one of the following options:
• QWERTY Keypad
• 3X4 Keypad
• 5X3 Keypad
3. Touch the Language field and touch one of the language types.
4. Touch On or Off from the Word completion field. On allows you to select from a list of possible combinations
based on the characters that display on the keys you touched.
5. Touch the Word completion point field, then the touch 2 letters, 3 letters, 4 letters, or 5 letters radio button.
Word completion begins after 2 or more (depending on your selection).
6. Touch On or Off from the Spell correction field. This option corrects typographical errors by selecting from a
list of possible words that reflect the characters of the keys you touched as well as the characters of nearby
keys.
7. Touch On or Off from the Next word prediction field to enable word prediction.
8. Touch On or Off from the Auto-append field.
9. Touch On or Off from the Auto-substitution field.
10. Touch On or Off from the Regional correction field.
11. Touch On or Off from the Recapture field.
