Applications: Security
Introduction
Your SPT 1500 terminal comes with a Security application so that unauthorized users cannot
view the entries you wish to protect.
With the Security application you can:
t Hide record entries you mark as “Private.” You can hide private entries with or
without a password. Without a password, private entries are hidden until you set the
Security application to show them. With a password, you must enter the password
to view the private entries.
t Turn off and lock your SPT 1500 terminal so that it does not operate until you enter
the correct password.
To open the Security application:
1. Tap the icon to open the Applications Launcher.
2. Tap the icon to display the Security screen.
Assigning a Password
You can assign a password to protect your private entries and to lock your SPT 1500
terminal.
To assign a password:
1. Tap the Password box in the Security screen to open the Password dialog.
