6.2.2.1.4 Configuring Telnet Session Page

Configurable Data

Telnet Session Timeout (minutes)

- Specify how many minutes of inactivity should

occur on a telnet session before the session is logged off. You may enter any number
from 1 to 160. The factory default is 5.

Maximum Number of Telnet Sessions

- Use the pulldown menu to select how many

simultaneous telnet sessions will be allowed. The maximum is 5, which is also the factory
default.

Allow New Telnet Sessions

- If you set this to no, new telnet sessions will not be

allowed. The factory default is yes.

Password Threshold

- When the logon attempt threshold is reached on the console port,

the system interface becomes silent for a specified amount of time before allowing the
next logon attempt. (Use the silent time command to set this interval.) When this
threshold is reached for Telnet, the Telnet logon interface closes. The default value is 3.
