SOUND FIELD PROGRAMS
Sound field program speaker layouts
Sound output from each speaker depends on the type of audio signals being input. Refer to the diagrams in the table
below to understand the speaker layout for each sound field program.
Note
Be advised lhat there may be no or not enough sound output from speakers depending on the type of input source being played back.
Furthermore, there may be some channels that can only be used partially when they are adjusted to specific aspects of movies, such as
specittl sound effects, etc.

Except for "2ch Stereo”. "6ch Stereo”, and “STRAIGHT”, you can select a decoder Irr oulptit sound from the surround back speaker
(see page 41).
The abbreviations and symbols used in each diagram are as follows:
0 From left speaker s Surround left speaker
0 Center speaker Surround right speaker
0 Front right speaker Surround back speaker
i Speaker from which sound is being output □ Speaker from w'hich no sound is being output
When the □□ EX / DO PL llx / ES indicators are turned off in the front panel display
