Installing the toner cartridge
After installing the photoconductor unit, you install the toner

cartridge. The toner cartridge performs two jobs: providing the toner

and developing the image.

Note:

You cannot install the toner cartridge before you install the

photoconductor unit.

To ensure even toner distribution, always keep the toner

cartridge in a horizontal position during handling.

1. Open the front cover.

2. While holding the toner cartridge in a horizontal position, gently

shake the cartridge from side to side a few times to distribute the

toner evenly.
