The printer has the following resident interfaces:

Your printer is equipped with an 8-bit parallel interface.
Parallel interface pin assignments
The parallel interface connector pin assignments and a description of
the interface signals are shown in the table below.

1 19 STROBE
Direction Description
IN The STROBE pulse to
read data in. Pulse width
must be more than 0.5
microseconds at the
receiving terminal. This
terminal is “High” usually;
reading data starts when
the terminal goes “Low.”
2 20 DATA 1 IN These signals represent
3 21 DATA 2 IN parallel data bits 1 to 8,
4 22 DATA 3 IN respectively. Each signal
5 23 DATA 4 IN is at HIGH level when
6 24 DATA 5 IN data is logical 1 and at
7 25 DATA 6 IN LOW level when it is
8 26 DATA 7 IN logical 0.
