c An existing system will typically have a switch or hub which connects all Serial Engines, Profiles and Machine Control
system control panels and managers. Use an Uplink port on the Machine Control switch to make the switch-to-switch
or switch-to-hub connection. Alternatively, one port on the switch can be connected to the Kalypso switch via a peer to
peer (crossover) cable (
Figure 63 ).
