Kaleido-X (14RU) Expansion
KXO-EXP-F
• KXO-EXP-F—the front panel (see KXO-EXP-F , on page 38)
• KXO-EXP-R—the rear panel (see KXO-EXP-R , on page 40)
When inserted in their corresponding slots, the panels meet at the frame’s internal
midplane, which enables the KXO-EXP card to communicate with the other cards in the
Kaleido-X frame. External connections to the KXO-EXP card are made through connectors
that are found on the card’s rear panel and on the front card edge.

The KXO-EXP-F card is a multi-function card that performs a significant portion of the signal
processing required to create the monitor wall output.
The KXO-EXP card must be installed in the slot labelled OUTPUT D / EXP (color-coded
yellow) in the Kaleido-X frame.
