Configure EDIUS XRE Server
Only systems with an EDIUS XRE Server require this process.
If you received your system already set up from Grass Valley, your EDIUS XRE Server or Servers
are already configured, so you can skip these tasks. Otherwise, work through the topics in this
section.
Create EDIUS project folder
You must create a location for your EDIUS projects.
1. On the K2 media file system (the V:\ drive), create a folder.
2. Name the folder with a meaningful name.
For example create the following folder:
V:\EDIUS_Projects
3. Make sure the folder is shared with permission granted so that your GV STRATUS/EDIUS XS
client PCs, EDIUS XRE Servers, and EDIUS Elite client PCs can access the folder.
On the EDIUS XRE Server, the internal system account, which by default is GVAdmin, accesses
the folder.
