you to assign devices and virtual devices to different management roles for flexibility. The firewall devices

then automatically identify and filter network traffic that travel through. More specifically, this function
allows you to configure a series of rules to match packets between a source security zone and a

destination security zone, and permit or drop the matching packets.

Virtual device group

Virtual device groups allows for decentralized management of virtual devices for administrators. Super

administrator can add virtual devices to different groups and assign a system administrator to each

group. Only super administrator can manage virtual device groups.

Configuration guide

From the navigation tree of the firewall management component, select Virtual Device Group under

Security Policy Management to enter the virtual device group list page, as shown in

Figure 60

.

Functions Description

Virtual device group list

Allows you to view details about all virtual device groups.

Adding a virtual device group

Allows you to add a virtual device group.

Authorizing system administrators

Allows you to authorize system administrators to virtual device
groups.

Assigning virtual devices to a group

Allows you to assign virtual devices to a group.

Deleting a virtual device group

Allows you to delete a virtual device group.
To delete a virtual device group, click the

icon of the group in

the Operation column.

CAUTION:

A virtual device can only be added to one virtual device group. A system administrator can be assigned
to multiple virtual devices groups to manage the devices in these groups.

Interzone rules cannot be configured on a virtual device before the virtual device is added to a virtual
device group.

Virtual device group list

From the navigation tree of the firewall management component, select Virtual Device Group under

Security Policy Management. The virtual device group list page appears, listing all virtual groups as

shown in

Figure 60

.
