Diagnostics Menu
From this screen you can see the current
status of your Printer. You can also:
Print Sample Page – Prints type and color
bands to check print quality.
Print Configuration Page – Shows
current Printer configuration including
Firmware Version, Network Connection,
Printer Serial Number and more.
Print Diagnostic Page – Shows basic
printer information, memory, Network
Settings, Event Log and RAM partitions.
Print Demo Page – Prints a 4-color sheet.
Print Ink Channels – Prints 5 bars (1 bar from each ink tank) to show how well the Printhead nozzles
are working.
Print Color Bars Page – Prints a series of 7 color bars to indicate how well the Printhead is mixing
colors and printing.
Tip: Set “Media Feed” to “Continuous” and “Pages per Cut” to “1” before performing the above tests.
Ink Usage Menu
This tool is provided for the purpose of
estimating the amount of ink usage and
approximate costs for a particular print
job.
“Printed Ink” values are displayed in
microliters (µl). 1000 µl = 1 mL
Job Cost Settings – To obtain “estimated
costs”; please enter your Tank Cost (cost
of single tank) and Printhead Cost. You
can also select if the Media Size is
displayed in inches or millimeters.
NOTICE: Estimated Page Costs and Estimated Job Costs are for provided for “estimation” purposes only.
This is NOT a performance guarantee. Please send at least 100 pages to increase estimation accuracy.
Then Click “Submit” to display the “Estimated Page Cost” and “Estimated Job Cost”.
The system uses the following items to estimate page and job costs.
• Print job info (Pages Printed, Print Quality, Media Type, Media Size).
• Number of nozzle ejections (Printed Ink) and the printhead area being used.
Note: An image printed within a smaller printhead area (example: 1” horizontal x 2” vertical
block) will use the same nozzles more frequently; as compared to printing the same image
with a wider printhead area (2” horizontal x 1” vertical block). The more frequent a particular
nozzle is fired, the quicker it will begin to fail.
Memjet’s estimated printhead rating: ~125,000* linear inches of continuous printing.
