3.4 Removal
The following subsections describe the procedures for:
 Powering down the system
 Disconnecting a PEM from power feed
 Removing the system
3.4.1 Powering Down the System
For data integrity reasons Artesyn Embedded Technologies recommends to save data and
close all applications before powering down the system.
Power-Down Procedure
To power down the system, proceed as follows:
1. Power down all inserted and active blades using a system management software.
2. Toggle both PEM breakers to the OFF position.
3. Verify that the BP LEDs of the PEMs are off.
3.4.2 Disconnecting the System from Power Feed
If you want to remove the system, you must disconnect it from power feed.
