Application and parameters of individual blocks
The following examples are intended to illustrate how to use and set
parameters for individual standard function blocks.
For the sake of clarity, the wiring diagrams do not show the PSS supply
voltage nor the reset input E0.31.
Many of the following examples indicate the category for which the circuit
is designed in accordance with EN 954-1:1997-03. Please use the table in
the Appendix to assign the corresponding requirement class in accordance
with DIN V 19 250:1994-05.
NOTICE
It is important to note that the stated categories refer only to the PSS
wiring and the parameters set on the standard function blocks.
To achieve the corresponding category throughout the whole system, all
safety-related components/devices (e.g. E-STOP button, safety limit switch
etc.) plus the entire user program (approved SBs do not need to be tested)
must be included in the assessment.
For this reason, Pilz cannot accept liability for the correct classification into
a category.
