• At the top of the window is a listing of the files which are currently resident in the
ADV6600 memory along with the date/time they were initiated and their size.
• In the block immediately below the directory is information on how much memory has
been filled and how much is available. You will want to consider this information
carefully before starting a study to assure that there is enough memory available for your
planned length of deployment. When the recorder is empty, with no saved files, free space
should appear as 4 MB.
• The Format button is used to erase the memory of the ADV6600. It is important to note
that it is not possible to delete individual files – only the elimination of all data is possible.
After you have assured that files have been transferred to your PC as described below, it
may be prudent to format the memory to clear space for future deployments. However, it is
recommended that backup of this data that has been downloaded is performed prior to
formatting the ADV6600 internal memory (once the Recorder is formatted, the data can
NOT be recovered).
• The Baud rate for data download can be varied to suit special user applications, but should
normally be left at the default value of 57600.
• The Select All button is used as a time saver to activate all files in the directory for
download to a PC as described below.
