format of the default template. Note, however, that each time you open a file and make
modifications to the appearance of data, you are creating a new workspace and your old workspace
will be deleted. If you wish to have several different alternative ways in which to view a single file,
it is best to save each view as a separate template.
8-2. Exporting Data to a Spreadsheet
Data files that have been uploaded and saved to a computer may be exported to a spreadsheet using
ADVantage 6600.
1. Open a saved file.
2. Click on Export Data from the
toolbar, or choose File>Export Data
from the menu at the top of the
screen. The window shown at the
right will appear.
3. Choose which parameters you would
like to export from the data file. A
checkmark next to a parameter
indicates it will be exported. Choose
Select All to export all the
parameters.
4. Verify the export format selected is
ASCII
5. Click on Export. The following
window will appear.
6. Choose an output style. Comma
delimited will allow the ASCII file
to be opened in Microsoft Excel with
no further modifications or formatting required. Tab delimited will require using the Import
Wizard when opening the file in Microsoft Excel. If you would like each column of data to be
labeled with the parameter name, verify the box for Write column names on first line contains
a checkmark. Click on OK.
