NOTE: If you have stored your data to the internal recorder during an SDI-12 study, it is likely that
extraneous files were generated and will appear in the directory of the recorder. This effect is
caused by attempts to “”wake up” the instrument when it is not attached to the SDI-12 device prior
to the beginning of the study and at the end of the study. The generation of these extraneous files
will have no effect on the quality of the data in the data-containing file which can be identified by its
size. The extraneous files contain no data and so cannot be opened using ADVantage 6600.
