Video output
The recorder can be connected to up to three monitors. However, only one monitor can
be controlled at a time.
The recorder automatically checks the monitor outputs used. If more than one monitor
is connected, it then defines which monitor is the main one and which is the auxiliary.
If a HDMI monitor is used, it will be the main output. If HDMI and VGA monitors are
both connected to the recorder, both will be main monitors; they will both show the
same view. However, you will not be able to control each individually.
To select the video output of the main monitor:
1. From the menu toolbar, click
Display Mode Settings
>
Layout > General
.
2. From
Video Output Interface
, select which monitor will be the main monitor: HDMI
(depends on recorder model), VGA, or main BNC. HDMI is default, if connected.
To control a monitor:
On the front panel press button A to select the main monitor. Press button B to
select the event monitor.
Monitor output
The decoding capabilities for the recorder in live view are:
• 1 × 1 main stream
• 2 × 2 main stream
• 1 main stream and 5 substreams
• 1 main stream and 7 substreams
• 3 × 3 substreams
• 4 × 4 substreams
The number of cameras that can be played back together depends on the camera
resolution. See Table 7 on page 31.
