SNMP Trap
The SNMP Trap provides notification of significant network events
through unsolicited SNMP messages. This results in substantial savings of
network resources by eliminating the need for unnecessary SNMP
requests.
Follow these steps to setup SNMP Trap.

SNMP Setup
from the
CONFIGURATION
menu.
1. Select whether to Enable
or Disable the SNMP Trap.
2. Enter
the
Trap Destination
IP Address or Name.
This is the IP address of
the SNMP manager.
3. Enter
the
Community.
This is used to
authenticate messages
and is included in every
packet that is transmitted
between the SNMP
manager and agent.
4. Click
Apply.
