Instrument Calibration requires an external
wavelength reference. When Vision asks for the
WST3Wxxx standard, insert into the fixture as
shown. See the section on Instrument Calibration
for specific instructions.
This standard is also used in Wavelength
Certification. Always cover the standard during
Instrument Calibration.
Insert each fiber bundle end into the holes on
either side of the Vial Heater Module.
Fiber bundles should be secured in place according
to the instructions in the Vial Heater Module
Manual.
Perform a new Wavelength Linearization with the
probes in this optical position. This should be done
at normal laboratory temperature, not elevated
sample temperature.
This is required due to slightly different optical
masking between the calibration fixture and the
Vial Heater Module.
Open the lid to see the area for vial insertion. This
device uses small HPLC-type vials, which are placed
in the center opening.
The Reference Scan should be taken in this
position, with no vial in position, with the cover
closed. This position is also used for Wavelength
Linearization and Performance Test.
Always observe lab safety procedures when
handling hot vials.
